"I'm here to talk about indoor rock climbing. Okay, in this scene, I want to talk to you about different types of holds that exist in a climbing gym. As you can take a look at the wall, there are many different types and shapes of holds. These small ones right here we use for our feet. They are called micro-holds or little jibs right here. Some of them are designed for your fingers too, to increase your very small finger strength. Other holds are like roof jugs because it's just like a big, old jug and you can just grip onto it with an open hand. A roof jug would be something like an overhang that you could totally put all of your weight on one hold and hang on it. There are specialty holds that are unique in design that work different muscles on your body. Like this one for instance, in the shape of a ghost, where you work different parts of your arms. Right here for instance is a specialty hold. Another unique type of hold is trying to simulate real climbing outdoors. So this would be like a slab of, perhaps, granite. So you can just barely put your hand on it and just walk like so. Each one is specific trying to simulate the real outdoors or others just to work out different types of muscles that you normally wouldn't work out if you were outside. So indoor climbing is really for training and that's why there's such a variety of holds, so you can get a big variety of training. So when you are done indoors, you can be ready for the outdoors."
