"Hi I'm Rachel Dayan for Expert Village now I'm going to show you a few salads dips that are in commonly eaten together with the falafel sandwich, either inside the pita bread or on a plate next to the falafel. The first salad that we're going to make is called Israeli salad it's made out of fresh garden vegetables, we're going to use a tomato, a cucumber, red pepper, green pepper, and an onion. We peel the onion and we cut it into small pieces the main thing in Israelin salad is that vegetables are cut small and in a pita bread actually in a falafel sandwich we're not going to spice it but if you would like to spice it you can always use lemon, fresh lemon squeeze the lemon, salt for your taste as much as you like and olive oil or canola oil if you don't like the taste of the olive oil. I'm going to cut the green pepper now into small pieces too and at the end we're just going to mix all the vegetables together add a little bit of salt as your going to see. And this is what an Israelin salad is, if you like reddish or olives you can always add them to the salad to or any other vegetable that you like. But this is the basic Israeli salad, you put it in the bowl and mix it with some salt. "
