"Once you've chosen your spot and you are set up for the throw, you want to consider the type of throw that is appropriate for you and appropriate for the situation. Take the bag, open the mouth of the bag and take out a few feet of line to wrap around your back so that you've got a little bit of extra if you need to throw out of some line. The first style of throw we will do here is the underarm. Make sure your feet are well positioned and you've good solid stance and you are not running into the throw. When you do this, take the bag out of front of you, grip it by the bag and not by the handle at the bottom, swing it behind you and release it at about shoulder level when you are ready. The underarm throw is a very easy predictable throw and you can get a good amount of distance with this throw to make sure that you get it into the right place. Every once in a while, it can go a little sky high and that is going to create some issues but if you make sure you release it on level, you are going to be all good. Another good type of throw is an overarm and if you've got a heavy bag, this may not be a good choice. But for the light small bags, this is going to be pretty useful. Once you've got the rope back in the bag, you can take this again with that slack out of the end, take the bag much like a football and again with the rope around the back of your back and throw it over your shoulder. The final style of throw that we will be doing is a really good throw if you need to protect your shoulder or if you are using a very heavy bag. For this one, you are going to take the bag by the throat and you are going to keep your elbow firmly locked in at your side and you are going to throw with a twisting action as if you are releasing a ball from your hand.
