"Okay so in this section I am going to be running you through how you pick a stomp pad and why you actually need a stomp pad. When you are getting on and off the chair lift the only foot that is going to be strapped in is your front foot which would be the only foot that is going to be up here and when you are getting off the chair lift since your back foot is not in an actual bind. If you were to place your foot on the snow board it would be very slippery especially if there were snow and water under there. So what a stomp pad does is you place it between the front binding and the back binding and it allows you to sit your foot on it and it makes it so you can get on and off the chair lift without having to worry about having your back foot slip and maybe falling and having to worry about all that stuff. If you are just starting out I would definitely say you should use a stomp pad. A lot of people don't use them just because they don't want a lot of stuff on their board but if you are starting out it is really important to have a stomp pad and it just makes getting on and off the chair lift that much easier and it is going to make it that much more fun to enjoy going and doing your run as opposed to falling off the chair lift."
