on 8/2/2008 other skate shoe brands are:element, circa (my favourite), quicksilver, fallen, DC, Vans, eS, girl,... there is a huge variety of shoe brands out there that you can pick from, but don't just pick something from wal mart because although they look "preety" and are cheap, they won't last long. same thing goes for skateboards. don't just buy a complete in wal mart because they are...sucky.

"So really in order to get on a board your not going to want any Nike's or any of those kind of air force one kind of shoes your going to want a real type skate shoe like Etnies, America, or Audio or any good reliable skate shoe. What your going to find in a skate shoe is totally flat bottom always, always have a flat bottom, the tongue is usually puffy for more comfort they have probably like heel pads like this big for landing, cause it's really harsh. And usually there's a pad your going to want to try to look for this pad that has a lace guard so when your sliding your foot at the board your laces don't ripe. You can see mine are starting to ripe and you can find these at any skate stores, any surf shops usually carry them, any sport shops carry any skate shoes."
