"This right here is a instrumental to learning a lot more complex BMX tricks. Basically it can be very perplexing for a lot of people because as I said before it is very unnatural after learning out to ride a bike forward. So basically when you are learning fakie the main thing is to find a good spot to practice. For me the thing that help me learning was having a quarter pipe like the one that you see over here because it allows you to ride out straight so you don't have to have your 180s perfect or anything and just go up high enough so you can generate enough backwards speed to just keep rolling out. The main thing for me at least to make sure that I'm to to hunched over the bars. It is very natural especially once you start going faster then you want to, to start hunching over the bars. The problem with this as I said before if you are riding fakie your bike all of sudden is stirring backwards and if your weight is over the front end it is very hard to control those little twitches that your body is making and it will you know it is very difficult to control that. So you want to make sure that you are off the back of the bike and you weight is center over you crank set right here and so that all of your mass is center over your feet and that would allow you a nice neutral riding position and allow you to ride out straight.
