"The great thing about manuals much like a bunny hop is once you have them really dialed in you can do them pretty much wherever you like to. For a lot of people you'll find that doing a manual on a quarter pipe where you actually come out of the quarter pipe manual across the top and drop back in is a very common thing to do and it is really fun especially when you get one that it feels really good where you get a nice pop back in the quarter pipe. Very few things that you can do on a bike will feel much better then that. Another very common trick one of my personal favorites is actually bunny hopping up onto a ledge or some other obstacle and manual across the top. This requires a little bit more concentration because you have basically a set end point and you have to make sure that you get to that point and you have enough balance to make it off the end. But once you get that lock down if you get it really well you will know and it feels absolutely incredible. It is definitely worth taking the time to get your manuals really dialed in so that you can do them anywhere where you like to. "
