"Now I'm going to demonstrate how to do a 360 to Fakie. Like most tricks on quarter pipes it's really important that you gage your speed properly. You want to go a little bit slower than you would to do a coping height carve air type deal. It's usually not very fast and you want to make sure that you get a good solid base for the spin. So you come up, you don't have to go fast at all like I said, look in the transition the whole way around. Your bike is going to naturally kind of spin on this axis and you want to make sure that as you land, you're pretty close to straight up and down with the quarter pipe. Usually a little bit under will help you catch your tires and you want to get a good smooth roll back. As I've talked about in previous clips, to get a good roll back you want to make sure that you're centered over the bike. If you're doing a 360 to fakie and you land with your front wheel too early, it's going to naturally pitch you over the front end and you're really not going to have a whole lot of control on that fakie. So you want to make sure that as you're spinning also, you're centered over your bike because that will keep the bike spinning right through the center. If you're centered either too far over the front or the back the bike is going to sort of whip around and it's not going to be nearly as controllable. So as I showed you, if you look where my head was in that clip, I'm constantly looking down at the transition and that's one of the cool things about the trick is you can always see where you're landing. Basically from the moment you take off until you touch your tires down. So you want to make sure that you get that proper speed like I said and as you spin, you get a good base for the spin and it's more like a 180 like I said than it is a 360 at least from the feel of it. You're actually generally spinning closer to 270 degrees and the spin and the pop is almost exactly the same as doing a bunny hop 180 on flat ground. You spot your landing and you want to make sure as I said that you line up pretty well with the transition of the quarter pipe and land centered, stay right over your pedals. Stay loose; get the roll back and assuming that you have all your fakie stuff pretty dialed in then you should be able to roll out of it just fine. It's a really fun trick and definitely worth learning."
