"There like I just showed you what you essentially do is as you're rolling in, judge your speed and think about how fast you would go to double peg the quarter pipe that you're about to do a smith grind on. You want to get just a little bit more speed than that, a little bit of extra pump, nothing outlandish because if you go too fast you're going to end up in the smith position but generally either blowing your foot off on the deck side, landing one footed not really a good thing, or you'll end up having too much inertia and it will push you over even if you end up in the proper position when you land. Once you're up there in that smith position, you want to make sure to keep your upper body centered over your front wheel and it's going to feel like you're out over the transition of the quarter pipe just a little bit but that's basically where your front wheel is, it's in the transition. If you lean too far in, again you're either going to tip over or you're going to have a really difficult time when you go to lean back in and do the roll in. As you just saw, the roll in is a little bit easier than either a disaster or a double peg, it's kind of a combination of the easier elements of both actually. You're already up in that position where your back wheel is up on the coping and it's almost like you're just dropping in with your front wheel stalled into there. So what you do once you're there as you just saw, is you look down into the quarter pipe and since your mass should already be over the transition, just shift it the slightest bit, turn your bars a little bit and you'll roll right in you don't even have to hop your back wheel up over the coping, you're not really going to have to worry about hitting your sprocket or anything. As long as you make sure not to cross your bars up too much, you should slide your front wheel just an inch or two down the quarter pipe and it'll catch and you should be able to roll right out. Like I said, this is probably the first building block trick, or trick that is based off of those building blocks that I was talking about. It's a really good trick to learn once you're starting to figure out that you can combine a lot of those really elementary tricks because it gives you more of an idea of how the different types of tricks can fit together and turn into something new."
