"Hi! I’m Anna-Marie; I’m Canadian Olympic Rower. I’m going to talk a little bit about the new type of monitor; it’s called the PM3 monitor. The machine has the exactly the same functions as the other machine that we were looking at earlier. There’s just a lot more options with this monitor. Again, to get it going, just taking a few pulls on the handle will get it the machine working. You can change what information you’re seeing on the screen by changing the display. You can see the power output in graphs, you can have a pace boat, watts, how much power is outputted in each stroke, or just a very simple screen like we had on the previous monitor. There’s another screen with a lot more information on it. You can change the units, so you can have your splits or your pace, the watts that you’re pulling, calories per hour, or the meters that you’re going. You can also set your workouts very similar to the other machine. You press the menu button to get to the main menu, you can select a workout that’s saved in the machine already, or you can select your new workout. As we did before, we’d like to do timed intervals, so you can change the time by pressing the plus button. You can change which digit is flashing by pressing the side button and you can change your rest. When you’re done, press the check box. It’s ready to go. 3 minutes on with 1 minute rest. It’ll tell you which interval you’re one down here. Another way to check the information of a workout you’ve just done is to press the memory button. It’ll come up with a list of the last several workouts, at which point you can choose which workout you’d like to look at and press the magnifying glass. It’ll break down that workout for you. So that’s the new monitor. It’s very user friendly. "
