"We’re going to put the monitor to work and put ourselves to work too. I’m going to take a few strokes. You can look at the monitor and notice what my stoke rate is and how my power changes. Remember, power is the center large numbers. Right now, I’m at 22 strokes a minute. My average split is 2 minutes and 6 seconds to go 500 meters. Watch what happens as I bring the stroke rate up from 22 to 24. You’ll notice that as I brought the stroke rate up, the number in the middle changed. It took me less amount of time to go 500 meters. I was also pushing harder as I went to a higher stroke rate. You can adjust your workouts based on the strokes per minute you’re taking and the amount of power you’re putting out with each stroke. I’ll talk a little bit more about different types of workouts and some options for you in the next clip."
