Video Transcript

" Hi! I’m Angela on behalf of expertvillage.com, and right now I will show you one of the ways to properly stretch your bicep area as well as your chest area. You want to find a flat surface, preferably a wall. You want to place the palm of your hand against this wall, your inner elbow and your arm so they’re comfortably like this. The stretching process begins when I start to rotate my body like this. You can feel the stretch right here in your chest area, but especially in your bicep area. You can hold this for about 15-25 seconds. It’s also important to inhale and exhale during this process because it increases the amount of stretching that you’re doing, and you’ll be able to feel that as well. It’s extremely important that you do this exercise before and after weightlifting, so that your relax the muscles that you prepare for this strenuous activity that you’re about to do. Also, if you do not do these exercises before you weight lift, you’re muscles will be extremely torn and soar for the next few days, where as if you did the stretches you might be able to weight lift a little bit more the next day.
