"The goal of a sideline quad stretch is to stretch the front part of the thigh into the stabilizers of the knee as well as the hip flexor where the quads come up and attach. It can either be done by just folding your knees out in one direction pressing forward in the hip or we can come down here and stack our hips on top of each other, knee over knee, and as if you were standing with your elbow underneath your shoulder in this position and coming back grabbing their shoelaces, the top part of the shoe. So, you've got your knee and hip joint in one line. Not necessary to pull back. That arches the back. We want to think of facilitating and putting the force through the knee with the knee soft. Inhaling and exhaling all the way through to facilitate that nervous system. You want to switch to the other side and try to work your way from ten to thirty seconds."
