"Now we are going to show you how to clean and prepare asparagus. You can see as it turns white, it gets to the green color. I am going to cut right about there as it begins to turn green because it is not very easy to eat or chew. So I've got a peeler here. What I am going to do is go lightly towards the base of this and peel off that fibrous harder skin and as you know, it is a little bit easier to eat the actual tips. Plus this makes a nice presentation on your plate because you've got this nice green color that is easier to chew and then the pretty spears at the top. So that is a cleaned and prepared asparagus spear. "
