Video Transcript

"Now we are going to show you the basic steaming procedure for vegetables and I only have water about this high and I have an insert inside of my stock pot which allows the food to set up above water level. Again, the water level is here and I've got a high flame. You can see I've got a mountain steam coming off of this guy. For the basic steam procedure for vegetables, I am going to go ahead and drop in squash into our insert here on the top and go ahead and close this and this will allow the steam to generate on the inside. The whole cooking process should take a matter of about 2 1/2 minutes. So now we have our finished product which is steamed squash. We are going to lift out the insert and that is what the finished product should look like. Nice and fresh and vibrant yellow."
