How to Twirl a Figure 8 with a Baton

"Hi. I'm Suzanne Von Schaack with Expert Village. And today, I'm going to teach you how to do a figure eight, which is a twirling move with the baton. To begin, we have the head of the baton to the left, the toe of the baton to the right. Take your hand and put it in the middle of the baton. The head of the baton is actually going to make the figure eight. I'm going to draw an eight with the head of the baton. Here we go with the head of the baton. And see how my hand opens up and allows the baton to rotate? So the head leads the drawing of the figure eight. I relax my hand. I let the palm open and control it right between my thumb and my forefinger. Very slowly, I'm showing you slowly. The head of the baton twirling, you actually twirl a figure eight.
