"Hi! I'm Mandy Butler on behalf of Expert Village and I'm going to talk to you today about cheerleading motions. Now I'm going to show you correct technique for a high clasp. Earlier we learned that your low clasp is here. My thumbs are against my chin. I close them. That's how I know I'm in the correct position. If however I extend this, it becomes a high clasp. Notice that my arms are not bent. They're straight squeezing my head. My arms are nice and tight, so my elbows are locked and I have stiff arms, not noodle arms. This is a high clasp. I can take it from a touchdown to a high clasp. I can't take it from a high V to a high clasp, or I can have it here in a low clasp position and bring it up, and that is a high clasp. Notice again, it's not behind my head. I'm squeezing my ears. You should not be able to see my ears when I turn to the side. If I've got it too far, forward or backward, you're going to know that I'm not in the right position. This is a high clasp."
