Video Transcript

" Starting in table top and moving into downward dog pose, you’ll want to start with your hands shoulder width apart and your knees right underneath your hips and the spine long. Tucking the toes under, pressing the hands into the floor and straightening the legs to come up into downward dog. For some people, the best way to do downward dog in the beginning is to keep the knees bent and to keep pressing into the floor with your hands so that the body weight moves toward your legs. And for some people it’s quite easy to straighten the hamstrings and lower the heels almost to the floor. And you can hold this with a natural breath for about five breaths and then with control, smoothing releasing back down to hands and knees and untucking the toes. "
