Video Transcript

" So extended child’s pose starts by sitting on your heels with your knees about the width of your yoga mat apart, which is about two and a half feet. And then you walk the hands forward, coming down to the elbows and for some people this is about as far as they want to go. You can let your head drop, and the neck release and this will stretch the spine and is also very soothing for the nervous system. If you feel like going a little bit forward you can stack your forearms and rest your forehead on your forearms. And then if you’re feeling like you’re ready to go all the way down to the floor you can take your arms at least the width of your shoulders and then drop your forehead to the floor. This is a pose where you want to breath in a relaxed way letting your belly button move away from the spine on the inhale and you can stay there anywhere between two to four minutes…five minutes. "
