"Okay, the next drill will be the crossover to ball protection. And what that is, is just like I explained before with the basic crossover dribble, we'll start--say we're starting with our right hand, and we want to go left to beat the defender, you'll step with your left foot like before and crossover, but you'll protect the ball. Like we discussed in ball protection, by dropping your arm and putting your body in between you and the defender, and staying low. Same with the left hand. If you're dribbling with your left and you want to go right to beat the defender, step with your right, crossover, and keep your body low. Let me show you again. Crossover dribble, take it slow and steady. Between your legs--not quite like that. But between your legs, step, and put your body in between you and the defender. Between the legs, body in between you and the defender. That's the basic crossover dribble to ball protection. "
