"Ok, the second play in our quick play is to pick and pop. Very similar to the pick and roll, except instead of rolling to the basket for the layup, you pop out for the jump shot, ok. So, when the ball handler is at the top of the key and they call for the pick and pop. Come up, you set the pick and they go around, and you pop out for the jump shot. Instead of going in for the layup, you'll pop out for the jump shot. And, it, what it is, is freeing you up of a man to give you an open shot. Let's go through it once more. And, this is the pick and pop drill. You pop out and you take the jump shot. And, that's the pick and pop. These drills, the pick and pop and the pick and roll, are pretty much just for freeing you up from your defender to get you open, clear shots to the basket or layup's. "
