"Hi, I'm Juan Carlos with Expert Village. Today I'm going to teach you how to slide. In this segment we're going to let you know when is the appropriate time to slide, one appropriate time definitely when you're stealing a base. Because they have to tag you out and if you just run straight up, it is very easily to just tag you on the shoulder as oppose when you go down. They have to have the make the tag below the ground. Another thing appropriate to slide is when you are actually coming around advancing maybe to a second or third base, that if you pick your third base coach and tell you to go down, you should go down. As the ball was coming in from the outfield to third base or to second base or maybe to home plate on the bang bang to make a score, that is when the appropriate slide may be. "
