"Hi, I'm Juan Carlos with Expert Village. Today I'm going to teach you how to slide. In this segment we're going to teach you when is the appropriate to go down when you make your slide. Now it's very very important that the further out the faster you run and the further out you slide it's possible that you have the most momentum carrying you to the base. Now at about this point about right here would probably be the most appropriate distance to go down. As you are about to approach the slide, it's more just like an imaginary line to give you a sense of when to go down. You actually want to be able to tuck in at this point and actually reach for the base with your foot and keeping your hands down to the ground."
