"Hello, my name is Adrain Arceo and now we're going to get into the base coach's responsibility, when it comes to relaying information that they've gathered to their players. Now, remember your job as a first base coach or a third base coach is to scout out and gather as much information as possible. Now, everything you learn, you have to some how communicate to your players, let's say for example: that you're third base coach picks up one of the signs from the other teams, says it's to steal sign, if they see that get put on, they're going to be able to prepare for it and hopefully be more successful when it comes to getting the guy out on the steal attempt. Also, as a base coach you know that things are going to change after every pitch and you want to make sure that you're paying attention so much to the point that you can actually update them after every pitch. Say you notice that the pitcher always throws a curve ball when he has a strike or two strikes, or whatever, let your hitters know, that way they'll be more prepared next time. Because remember the more information you're able to gather, the more their going to trust you when it comes to them being on the bases, or them taking your advise, and that's going to get you a lot more respect as a base coach and that's going to make you a lot more effective during the game. Let's say for example: that you have a runner coming from second to third and he wants to go home, if that player doesn't trust you, no matter how hard you yell or wave your hands up at him to stop him, he's just going to run right through you. However, if you do trust your third base coach and he puts his hands up to try to stop you, you're going to stop at third base. Why? Because you trust him! So, remember as a third and first base coach, the information is going to change after every pitch and you have to figure out a way to get that information to your players every time."
