"Hi! I'm Lori Schneider from Figs Catering out of Austin, Texas. Today on behalf of Expert Village, we're going to show you how to make mini turkey and parmesan burgers on pita bread. Now that we've got our cheese and Italian parsley in with our turkey, we're going to go ahead and add one clove of garlic. I don't think I mentioned it earlier, but I've got one pound of ground turkey in our bowl. The ground turkey that we're using is a ground turkey breast. If you're trying to watch your weight, you may want to consider using the ground turkey breast. You can also use half and half; ground turkey breast and ground turkey dark meat. Make sure you read your package if you are trying to watch your weight. I've got that one clove of garlic, and I'm going to go ahead and throw it into the bowl with everything. Then we're going to add our one egg. I'm going to crack the egg into the bowl. Our egg is going to act kind of as a binder. It's going to kind of help keep everything together as it cooks together. We've got all of ingredients in there now. The last thing I need to add is kosher salt. I'm going to do about 2 teaspoons or so. Remember the parmesan reggiano has salt in it, so you don't want to add too much salt. I'm going to also add fresh ground black pepper; about a teaspoon or so."
