Summary: How does roller hockey differ from ice hockey? Learn how to play roller hockey with free video lesson.
"All right, for roller hockey, whether you're playing indoor or outdoor, there's a couple of differences between that and ice hockey. Ice hockey, you typically have 5 on 5. It's more of a controlled game. There's offsides. You've got your blue line, offensive and defensive zones. There's icing and stuff like that, but with roller hockey, when you're playing indoor, it's 4 on 4. You have two forwards and then you have two defensemen, and obviously, you have your goalie, but there's no offsides. It's more of a wide open game. A lot of people have more fun playing roller hockey just because of that. If you like the game where it's like more stick handling and finesse, you would want to play roller hockey. It's a great way to get some exercise, but it's a great game. I love roller hockey. I've been playing it for a long time, and you can't beat it."
