"Alright, something that you want to get familiar with is how to poke check, or stick check. Basically, all that is is trying to take the puck away from your opponent without losing your balance, or losing any kind of positing against your opponent. All you're going to do is, let's say your opponent's over there; they've got the puck or the ball. All you're going to do is come in and knock it away. And hopefully all that means is you take that away, and it gives them the opportunity for one of your team mates, or you, to come in and get the puck and take off, go to the offensive zone and score a goal. The other way you can do it is by stick checking and actually knock somebody's stick away. And that will also stop them from controlling the puck. And either way, it's going to knock the puck loose and you should be able to get control of the puck. And it's a good way to get control, have your team mates get it, or whatever."
