"Okay, time to start talking about our meal. So today I'm going to make roasted root vegetables with herb polenta. Now one of the reasons that I think this is a great recipe for this particular episode is that I'm using totally organic ingredients, seasonal as well. That is another important thing we're going to talk about cooking and particular recipes you want to think seasonal. But it is what you are going to find at your local farmers market plus I think seasonal food is kind of like what sounds good. In the winter you want things that are more hearty and more spring, you like light salads so it kind of goes with what you like and what is good for the environment as well. So since it's early fall the root vegetables are really good this time of year so I have some parsnips and carrots. I'm going to roast those with some red peppers, yellow peppers, red onion, little olive oil, I'm going to put some fresh Italian parsley in there. A little salt and pepper, little red pepper flakes, roast all that together, then that goes on top of the herb polenta. So I picked up some organic cornmeal and it's funny people forget that corn is a whole grain. Whole grain of course there is less process, they are better for your heart, heart healthy that sort of thing. We'll just put a little of garlic powder, mix it with some organic milk, no hormones, no pesticides, and I think organic milk taste better too. Then there's a little cheese, a little thyme, a little basil in there, it's really, really good, so this is your ingredients list, your shopping list for this particular recipe."
