The next part of the defense we're going to do is we're going to take the left jab to the body, and we're going to be able to catch it and deflect it off our elbow. As long as you're in that tight package that we talked about earlier and you're keeping your elbows tucked in, a lot of times the punches aren't going to just your chin, they're going to work your body, too. So what we want to do is as the left jab is coming in at us to our body, we're going to turn slightly, catching their jab on the V-part of our forearm there. That doesn't count as a punch, by the way, because USA Boxing scores it to the front of the face and the front of the body, the side of the body, a little bit to the side of the head, but not to the forearms, not to the shoulders. Nick is going to help us out with that one, too. Nick? So as I'm jabbing Nick, he just turns. Good, and as you can see Nick just saved a lot of mean punches to his midsection.
