"One of the other good defensive moves that we're going to cover now is as someone throws a left jab at you, you already know where they're aiming -they're aiming for your chin and hopefully your right hand is very close to your chin, and the left hand is in your cheek. But if your right hand is next to your chin where it should be, you should be able to turn your wrist, just a slight turn. You don't have to pry your glove open because the way gloves are constructed, as another glove catches it, it's going to be open enough for another glove to get in there. So we're going to actually catch the other person's jab with our right hand. We're not going to reach out for it and we're not going to do a lot of bobbing and weaving and upping and down. We're just going to let them jab us, and we're just going to have enough self-confidence in ourself that we can just turn the wrist and brace yourself. We should be able to see your veins pop out because you're bracing yourself for a big left jab to what would be your chin, except now you're catching it in the palm of your right hand. Nick, can you help me out with that? As I jab Nick, he's going turn his right hand and then catch it. As you can see I'm not pulling any punches with Nick. I'm firing as hard and as fast as I can, and Nick is still catching those with his right hand. That's good, Nick. He's not reaching for it, he's simply turning his right hand. He's got enough self-confidence he knows if he turns his right hand, catches that left jab, then that's going to frustrate me as well."
