"The next area we're going to cover -and this is assuming that we have two orthodox, right-handed boxers, and then you can change it around a little bit if you're a southpaw of if you're boxing a southpaw, left-handed boxer- but what we're going to do now is sometimes if you're in a boxing ring and you get hurt, for instance, or you get tired, you might just want to catch a few punches without actually returning any punches, without actually doing any counter-punching. You might just want to catch a few punches and that will allow you to get your breath back again. Or sometimes the other boxer is just so aggressive that in order to frustrate him, in order to make him make some mistakes later by being frustrated, you just want to catch a few punches. That tends to frustrate another boxer, and sometimes the frustration works against him and works to your advantage. So Nick is going to help me demonstrate. As he jabs me, I'm going to turn my wrist with my left hand and just catch his left jab with my own left hand. I'm not going to counter with anything, I'm not going to go on the offense. I'm merely going to work the defense for a couple seconds while I clear my head, while I frustrate him. There you go, one more. Okay, good. And hopefully that's going to frustrate him into making some mistakes, or at least allow me to get my wind back, if I need it. Thank you."
