"A next combination we're going to learn is a left jab. We're going to throw a right hand to the head; we're going to ease back, and going to throw a second right hand to the head. The second right hand is going to be a lot more powerful. What I like to do when I train boxers is to think of percentages. Rather than try to throw 100% with every punch, and then ending up with your body saying, "You're only going to get 33 1/3, 33 1/3, 33 1/3 for three punch combination." What I tell them is try to go 10% with the first punch, 10% power with the second punch, we're going to ease back and we're going to throw 80% with the second right hand, the third punch. That equals 100%. Everybody's happy. So in this combination, we're going to be a half a step away from the bag, from the mirror, we're going to slide in with a left jab, again bending at the knees and getting our face out of the wall mounted mirror. Okay? We're going to bring our left back to our cheek. We're going to throw the first right hand, but it's not going to be that powerful, it's going to be about 10% of that power. What you're doing is you're trying to give your opponent a false sense of security, trying to set him up for the big one that's coming. Okay. You're still bending at the knees. My face is, again, down here out of the target zone. The first one hits or doesn't hit, but comes within an inch or so, it's not that important at this moment. We're going to ease back, all the way back, still bending at the knees, still keeping our face out of the target zone. This is called "step three," okay? We're going to keep our left in our cheek, the right under our chin, and now we're going to deliver the rest of the punch, 80%. Boom. Big right hand right to their face, and then as we step back, we're right back into our normal starting position, and as you look, your face is now in the target zone. But during that time, the one-two-three-four, and no time with our face in the target, and that's what we're looking for. Thank you."
