If you're playing a cover two, you can get people sliding over here to make a different type of coverage and then to allow you to zone underneath and cover over the top with two safeties. When you do that you slid a person out just enough to where it might give you enough angles and enough numbers offensively to run the ball back away from the trip receivers.
