"On behalf of Expert Village, I am Laura Banford and I am going to show you how to make Hawaiian pork with braised cabbage and pineapple tomato skewers. Well, we have shredded our cabbage and then saut?ed it a little bit in Canola oil. Seasoned it with salt and pepper. Make sure you always season your vegetables. Season and reseason. Don't worry about doing that. You have to be kind of assertive with that. Then we added our vegetable stock and braised it. I can tell just by touching it, it is getting nice and tender. So we want to finish this with some rice vinegar and some mirin and that is going to give it the sweet and sour aspect. Here is some rice vinegar. Scant 1/4 cup of rice vinegar. Then miring; this mirin is a really neat ingredient. It is sweet and pungent and light at the same time. Not as heavy and drippy as honey. It can be used in place of honey in any recipe especially a savory recipe. I am going to give that a little toss. Turn off the heat and hold that aside while we start to make our pineapple tomato skewers. When we come back, we are going to show you the ingredients you will need for pineapple tomato skewers."
