"On behalf of Expert Village I'm Laura Banford and I'm going to show you how to make Hawaiin pork with braised cabbage and pineapple tomato skewers. Now we're going to sauté our Hawaiin pork ribs. These are country ribs actually. The meaty country ribs that you find near the baby back ribs on the pig. I'm going to add some canola oil. Vegetable oil, grape seed oil would all be good alternatives. But olive oil is not what you want in this dish because it is the wrong flavor. You want something neutral. The pan is hot. I'm going to season our ribs with salt and pepper. I've cleaned them up a little bit. There was some tough white skin on them, membranes and I've taken those off for the most part. And I'm going to sauté them. This is going to give a, allow me to brown the ribs, which you can see they're boneless ribs. I'm going to brown them on all sides and then remove them from the pan and add the vegetables into the same pan. And that's how we're going to start this sauce. When we come back we're going to sauté our garlic and our onions. See you then."
