In our next clip we're going to talk about staying a half a step away from the heavy bag. What I try to instill upon our boxers is if you can hit the bag every time, you can probably also get hit every time. So in dancing around the bag and dancing around your opponent, if you're half a step away, and then you step in to do your punches, and then you take a step back again, hopefully you're going to be going in, you're going to be doing your damage, you're going to be stepping back, and hopefully all the points you get will be your points. Nick is going to help us demonstrate that. Where if Nick stays right on top of the bag...if Nick can hit the bag every time, then he can also get hit. So what we're going to do now is as Nick takes a half a step back, okay, now he steps in, throws his punches and steps back, the other person returns fire but Nick is long gone. So Nick now steps in again, throws a few more punches. He steps back again, another half a step, okay? He's out of range right now, and that's a good thing. He's going to step in, he's going to throw a punch or two. Even to step in and throw one punch -be happy with one punch. Go in, throw a punch, step back out again. Get back out of range. Great. That's good, Nick. Thank you.
