"I'm going to show you 2 ways to cook rice and they're both really simple and incredibly forgiven sushi rice you cook with your standard one to one half ratio meaning it's a cup of rice to a cup and a half of water. And what I like to do is also throw in a little extra water just to guarantee its a nice and soft and sticky, this is a rice cooker and this is how were going to start out. Your going to take the rice cooker out and these rice cookers are by the way available at any appliance stores, usually between 20 and $40 you can get giant ones, you can get little ones but for our preference today this one is just fine. Take the lid off and add the rice I'm going to add about a cup and a half to 3 cups of water, what I'm going to do before hand is rinse out the rice. Take your hand and just swish it in there you can see some of the milky glutton coming out it won't affect how sticky the rice comes out, but it will get out any dust or anything that you might not want to eat that from commercial rice production. Just do it slowly okay then we're going to add 1, 2, 3 cups of water and just a little extra, put the cap on drop it in the rice cooker and the nice thing about rice cookers is that this will perfectly time your rice. Push the button down and wait for about 20 minutes and your rice will be done."
