"Today we're going to talk about how to pick a fresh cucumber. A common misconception when trying to pick out a good cucumber is the bigger the better. You really want to stay away from the biggest ones you can find. They're going to have a lot more seeds in them, a lot bigger seeds, and if you get a thinner one like that, see that's a lot thicker. You want to go for these thinner ones. They're going to have a lot less seeds, going to taste a lot more crisp. You want to get a nice solid one. You don't want any kind of soft spots on them at all. You know nice, real rock solid, skinny cucumber. You want to stay away from any kind of stress points like those. They kind of look like wrinkles, kind of soft like that. You definitely want to stay away from that. You know marks like that aren't too big of a deal. I mean you could just cut that part off. It's just a preference thing. If you want your vegetables to look nice it's not too big of a deal with little scars, but the wrinkles on the ends like that, you can tell because it's a lot softer. You want to stay away from that. You want to go for a nice, hard, solid, skinny, cucumber. Stay away from the big ones."
