"Today we're going to talk about how to pick a fresh tomato. When looking for a fresh tomato you want to stay away from anything that is a little bit light colored like this green here, or anything a little bit, oh, that's a bad one there, any kind of soft spot like that. You definitely want to stay away from. There are a lot of that when you're picking out tomatoes anyway. Any little mold spots like that you want to stay away from, any bruising like that, just not going to be as nice or as fresh a fruit. That one right there with that just kind of a medium red color, compared to the rest of the table you know, not too firm, not too soft, it's a really nice, fresh tomato. Some of the lighter colored ones like that are still pretty firm. You're going to want to wait a little bit longer on the lighter colored ones like the green or just the light compared to that. I mean you can clearly see the difference between the light and dark and it's going to be a lot more firm. You'll definitely feel the firmness as compared to that. It's got a little bit of give to it. You really just want to pick that nice medium red, not any bruises or soft spots, or scabs or anything like that on them. Now if you find one like this that is a little bit lighter and green colored, it's just, it's going to be a lot more bitter if you're going to pick one like that. It's not going to be as sweet as a nice dark red one. This is going to be a lot sweeter, a lot softer. That's going to be not quite like biting into an apple, but it is going to be pretty solid and a lot more tart and sour than the nice, sweet, red, medium red tomato."
