"Today we're going to talk about how to pick a fresh honey dew melon. When looking for a fresh honey dew melon, you want to find the bottom side and you want to give them a little push like that. And if they give a little bit, that may mean they're a little too ripe. It's going to be a lot softer inside if the bottom gives like that. It's just, it's going to be a lot more juicy and it's not going to be as crisp. A lot of people like a nice crisp melon and if it's giving on the bottom like that, it's not going to be as crisp. It's not a bad thing to find a nice solid one, with even a little bit of green on them isn't going to be a bad problem. You just want to make sure that that bottom is nice and solid like that one. It's not giving at all. It's going to be a nice crisp melon. You want to stay away from anything like that on the skin. It may just be on the skin, but just in case it did go into the fruit, you want to stay away from stuff like that. If there's other one's out, obviously, I wouldn't go for the one with any kind of scars or bruising on them and any kind of real soft spots on the sides of them, you want to stay away from as well."
