on 2/2/2009 What an amazing idea! This looks so much fun, I am definately going to attempt this as soon as I possibly can. I am not sure that I can do it as well as you Karen, I hope it is as easy as you make it look. I am going to wait for kiwi season so that I can make the best possible peacock.

One slight comment about the presentation at the end of the videos. I think that it would be advantagous if it was presented at the end on a nicely decorated party table. It would also be excellent to see your guests' reactions.

Have you considered making a turtle centerpeice out of zucchini? I did this last Thanksgiving and it was extremely popular with my guests.

Many thanks to you and Expert Village, I hope to see many more creations in the future.

"Hi! I'm Karen for Expert Village. Now, to give our peacock a little eye, I'm going to poke a skewer right where I would want the eye. I've taken a little bit of a grape. I like the little end of the grape here. I can stick that right in the hole. That gives a little look of an eye. If you want a little plume on the top, I've also found a little piece from the grape. I'm going to put a hole on the top of the head. I found this little piece from the grape stems that I've plucked the grapes off of. It just makes a nice little plume for our peacock on the top of the head. Then you can finish it all off by adding grapes clusters or if you have strawberries or other berries you can add them around the bottom, or other fresh fruit cut up. Even more orange slices on the bottom there would look nice or other fresh whole fruits. There's our fancy tailed peacock."
