"Hi! I'm Karen for Expert Village. Now I'll show you how to display our watermelon well. I've made a few pieces extra out of carrot here. You need a piece shaped like this. Just take a carrot and peel it and make the ends both pointy, and so it's going to fit right in here. We're just going to push one point into the flesh of the watermelon. It's a little bit too long so we'll trim it off. Point in there and then in there so it fits right across. I made a little handle for our watermelon that will go there. We're going to push a toothpick or a skewer. It's a little bit long. Put a toothpick or a skewer into that bit of handle and then that can stick there. Then I've take a carrot peel. Just one long strip of carrot peel and trimmed it a little and then cut it down the center. This is going to be the rope for our well. You can loosely wrap one end of it there. Then I've made a little bucket out of cucumber that will sit on the edge of the well. You can put the rope right in the bucket. This was made the same way that we made the brick sections on the well. We made it very small on a cucumber. I just took a little bit of the cucumber skin and I secured it with a toothpick. I'm going to set that up on a pedestal plate and I'll line that with some lettuce leaves. Put that up there. We'll fill the well with the fruit that we took out of it and cut up into cubes. This is a really quaint display. It's nice for engagement parties and any kind of life events like graduations where wishing would be in order. Fix up the rope. And there's our wishing well."
