"Hi I'm Karen for Expert Village now we're going to prepare our baking dish and put our kuegel mixture into the baking dish. I like to prepare my baking dish with a little pan spray and just spray that with a good coating all over. You can oil it or you could take some margarine and rub it with a napkin all over it and pour your kuegel mixture into there, all that good stuff. And just use your hands to push it down and flatten it out like so, and then we take the remaining 2 tablespoons of oil and just drizzle it over the top. This will give the kuegel a nice brown crispy top if you want you can also just take your hands and just sort of move that around so that the whole top is coated nicely with oil. Now we're going to cook that in a 400 degree oven for about an hour, our kuegel's been cooking for about an hour in a 400 degree oven it's ready to come out. Our kuegel is beautifully brown and I used a clear dish so you can see how nicely brown it is on the bottom. You just want to check right in the middle take a knife and cut into it and just make sure that those potatoes are cooked, but that's perfectly done."
