How to Cut Tortilla Strips for Pozole

"Hi. My name is Jenny Villagomez and on behalf of Expert Village I'll be showing you how to make pozole. In this clip I'll be showing you how to cut your tortilla strips. As you can see, these are corn tortillas, not flour. Flour tortillas are pale and bigger than corn tortillas. So we're going to cut our corn tortillas into vertical strips. Make sure you cut them thin and not wide unless you want your chips to be extra crunchy. Turn your tortillas with your palm and cut through the middle. Look at these perfect strips. Now for a more traditional chip. The triangle chip. The method to this chip is to simply through the middle of the tortillas with a large knife. Using your palm as weight to cut through all of the tortillas evenly. First into fours then six and finally eight triangles. Make sure you don't cut through more than 5 to 7 tortillas at a time. If you try too many you'll end up with mangled pieces."
