"Hi, my name is Jenny Villagomez and on behalf of Expert Village I’ll be showing you how to prepare your oil to fry your tortilla chips. First be sure to turn on your stovetop to medium flame, place your frying pan on top of the stove in an upright position. Pour in your corn oil until you get about two inches of that. To test out if the oil is ready for frying, you take a piece of tortilla and drop it in the oil. If there is no activity it means the oil is cold and needs to heat up a little more. Check again after a few minutes and try again. If the chip is active and tiny bubbles are visible it means it’s frying time. Take your precut corn tortilla strips and fry them up, you’ll start to see your chips turn light brown, now there aren’t you having fun. Now take a bowl and place a paper napkin inside. Be sure to use metal tongs and shake any oil off. Place your chips into your napkin bowl to absorb any excess oil. "
