"So what we are going to do first since there is rice in our crap meat stuffing and that probably takes the longest, what we will do is cook the rice first. So we have a small one quart pan, we'll give it a heaping scoop of butter, let that melt down. Normally for rice Pilaf we would add onions and other seasonings, for this we won't have to. Simply because the rice will be an ingredient in another mixture so everything combined will have seasoning. So the only thing we need to do with the rice is cook it. So we have our butter melted, we have about 1/4 cup of rice, I use Jasmine rice, get that in there. We'll cook it for about a minute and once the rice has cooked in the butter we'll add the liquid. Now we had a 1/4 cup of rice so that means we need 3/4 of a cup of water, you double the liquid of volume. Did I say three quarters? Two times a quarter is a half cup so that is what we are going with, sorry about that. So our quarter cup of rice, half cup of water and we are going to let this come to a rolling boil and we will cover it and set it aside."
