" Hi! This is David from expertvillage.com from Big Easy Catering Company. We just deep fried the turkey and now we want to go over a few safety tips that people ask me about all the time. First make sure your propane is securely turned off. We don't want any leaks, do not store in your garage or anything like that, that a hot water heater could actually ignite it. Make sure you know how to safely hook up your propane tank and your propane dealer can help you with that type of thing if you are not sure. Make sure that there is enough oil in the pot to cover the turkey and that the pot is big enough so there is no boil overs. We went over that with using water displacement if you need to. Your first time is special. It will become second nature to you at some point. Make sure you wash your hands and all services after handling poultry of any type. Wash down your boards really well, your knives, everything that is going to be in contact and then you store your propane tanks as I said accordingly to your manufacturer's recommendations. So be safe and enjoy the turkey. "
