"This is David for expertvillage.com. We’ve come to the part of the program where we are going to actually deep fry the turkey that we already injected and rubbed with the ingredients. What we’ve done here earlier was we made sure that we know exactly how much oil for the bird that we have, we’ve dumped out the water and we’ve dried this down completely. You don’t want any type of water in with your oil; otherwise it will splatter and pop and it won’t be safe for you. Also what we will be doing is we are going to be putting in peanut oil. Peanut oil has a very high smoke point. You don’t want to really do anything like Canola if you are going to be frying more than one bird especially but we recommend peanut oil. So now we are going to pour this in up to the point where we saw where the water line went. As you see, this is quite a bit of oil but you can get this amount of oil at any store like a Costco or Sam’s Club or it’s a lot cheaper this way of course. I think is about $15 for all this oil so don’t be shocked. You just pour that all in and you will be ready to go. "
