"Chuck Byers again with Expert Village, and we're talking about choosing that particular bottle of champagne. Now an interesting fact is that champagnes is not necessarily a white wine. Champagne can be blanc then noir which is white wine from a black grape meaning pinot noir. It could be blanc to blanc meaning white wine from white grapes. Could be rose or it could be almost red. But whatever the color you're going to get yourself a wonderful sparkling wine with a great meal. Now on another note when choosing a bottle of wine, you may want to choose wine that is very dry, or brut. You may want to choose a wine that is extra dry, in these terms it means wines with a tiny bit of sugar in it like 1% or 1.5%. You can use a wine that is semi-sweet with about 2% sugar in it. Or you can go with wine that is exceptionally sweet with any where from 4-6% sugar in it. Depending on what the occasion is and depending on what you have in mind, the wine can be very dry or bone dry to quite sweet. It still is a sparkling wine, it still is champagne or champagne style wine."
