"Hi I'm Rachel for Expert Village. Now we can see that the water is boiling I have put a little of salt inside. You can taste the water and it should be salty not to salty but it should be salty. And I'm going to put the bagels inside. You shouldn't put to many cause they might stick to each other I'm going to put 4 and 4. We are going to put them in the boiling water for 3 minutes as you see the bagels start to flow up when they are getting cooked. Oops not every recipe calls for 3 minutes some recipes call for 45 seconds it is between a minute to 3 minutes I would say that they should stay in boiling water. The reason why we didn't let it rise for the third time is because once we put it in the boiling water the bagel absorbs the water and puff puffs out. Now we are going to take them out of the water and we are going to put it on a baking sheet cause they are going to get ready now to be put in the oven. While waiting for the bagels to be boiled we preheat the oven to 400. "
